นอร์เดลเป็นยางสังเคราะห์ไฮโดรคาร์บอนซึ่งประกอบด้วยเอทิลีนมอนอเมอร์ พอพิลีนมอนอร์เมอร์ และนอร์บอมีนมอนอเมอร์ (อีพีดีเอ็ม) จากโครงสร้างนี้ทำให้ NORDEL™ มีคุณสมบุติในการทนความร้อนและสารเคมีได้ดีหลังจากทำคอมพาวด์และทำปฎิกิริยาให้เกิดการเชื่อมโยงสายโซ่ (curing) นอร์เดลเป็นวัสดุชนิดโปรงแสง นอร์เดลมีหลากหลายเกรดตั้งแต่ความหนืดต่ำ ปานกลาง ไปจนถึงสูง สามารถผสมและทำการขึ้นรูปชิ้นงานได้ง่าย นอร์เดลมีเกรดสำหรับทำงานใส เกรดสำหรับการใช้งานที่อุณหภูมิต่ำแต่ต้องการความเหนียว ความทนทาน ทำให้นอร์เดลสามารถเอาไปทำผลิตภัณฑ์ได้หลากหลายชนิด
