Hybrar™ is styrenic block copolymer that is developed by Kuraray Co., Ltd. which using Kuraray’ s unique isoprene technology. Hybrar™ have polystyrene end blocks and a vinyl rich polydiene midblock. Unhydrogenated Hybrar™ (5000-series) has high vibration damping and shock absorption properties because glass transition temperature (Tg) is near room temperature. On the other hand, hydrogenated Hybrar™ (7000-series) is miscible with polypropylene (PP) so that it is resulted in high transparency of blend between PP and hydrogenated Hybrar™.
